With the hair golems defeated, the Big Bed Fellows get evicted from the Goodnight Moon, Goodnight Spoon Tavern and Inn. But not before they find a baby table, meet an energetic fan and future adventurer, and hold him hostage in front of a Regulator (Police Officer). Is that a good choice? When will they get around to attacking those orphanages and hags? Find out on this episode! Subscribe & LIKE & all that, to help spread the word!
Heading back to the tavern, the group draws the attention of a bored traveler from the Feywild. He offers his help in exchange for the groups promise to complete a prank on the Wardens of Ynysta. His help involves a magical Pomeranian and some cookies from Baba Yaga.
To gather more information on Operation Hag Coven, the gang attends a weekly hearing for complaints about the Aspel Arcana. Aradia finds that pandering to the gathered angry crowd makes her the most popular she has ever been.
An aristocrat, bored with life, attempts to join the Big Bed Fellows.
Over the course of a week leading up to the Festival of the Moon, the Big Bed Fellows continue the research into the monster that tortured and maimed Niolus’ sister Annalyn. Unfortunately, they each begin to have vitality draining nightmares over the course of the week that cause exhaustion. Sara tries to get some divine spiritual healing in the Deference District and is reminded that nothing in life, fictional or otherwise, is free.
On this episode, the Big Bed Fellows return to the Venture Venture Adventuring Agency to inform Max of their findings regarding the Death Whistle in the dock district of Ynys. Then they head over to investigate this “Auntie” at an orphanage who tortured Niolus’ sister back in the future. Also, Sara tries her hand at negotiating and finds out she’s the Mr. Magoo of bargaining.
Back in time, the group decides to have a little fun on an island that is known for it. They decide to take on the infamous Chaos Crawl pub crawl. A 44 stop journey through inebriation into madness. Will they make it through the whole thing intact as a group or will a few members get distracted by all the Isle of Ynn has to offer? Listen and find out!
With Niolus unexpectedly finding his sister, he’s none too pleased with what else he finds out and goes a little hard on her…and her husband. The family reunion is in full force before the Big Bed Fellows leave this time. It’s an abbreviated episode because DM Jake has the flu. Henceforth every tenth episode requires that Jake has the flu. It is decreed.
A creepy Wonka-esque boat ride later and the Fellows have made it to the Island in between Ynys and Ysta. Just a few security precautions to go through. Mainly a floating mouth, a Sphinx…then another Sphinx. Ending with a reunion for one of the Big Bed Fellows. Which one is it? Well, you’ll just have to listen…like, subscribe.
The Fellows attempt to escape the assassin only to come face-to-face with an iconic D&D monster. Then they get trapped in a puzzling room that requires they prestidigitate their way out. They also find out what Max gave them before he attempted to buy them some time to escape at the end of the last episode. Finally, they reach the ferry terminal only to find the price of a ticket to cross the Raving Straights safely is more expensive than they thought.
After accidentally time traveling into a dystopian future, the BBF’s try to get to some safety on the Isle of Ynn (a.k.a. Bro-tave-temple Island). Max, of course, has a guy (Robbie Croninstigel) who put them in contact with a guy (Michael the Squire) who would take them to some people (Eye of Schmecna) who would get the crew part of the way there. And of course, it goes off without a hitch! Roll Initiative!
Missed episode 5 because a computer demanded it as a sacrifice. There’s now a 5 sized hole in the timeline. In a way it’s very
timely(SORRY)/fitting that the Big Bed Fellows time traveled and you the listener narratively time traveled. Yea…that’s it.
After escaping the time wraith in the sewers of Ynys thanks to help from Drandy the Drifter and Drandy’s future self, the BBF’s emerge to find things, mainly everything is a bit different. Proddy has a run-in with an old friend and Sara gets to witness a public execution! The future is FUN FUN FUN!
The Big Bed Fellows have made it to the big city of Ynysta and are now in the northern portion of Ynys. They have met their handler and flying head, Max Mourningbrow and have taken on a new job. The job asks that they investigate a mysterious noise coming from the docks district and is negatively affecting business. The dock workers have named it the death whistle which sounds identical to the Aztec Death Whistle. Google it.
Our adventurers finally arrive in Ynys which is one-half of the twin cities (the other being Ysta) that comprise Ynysta, arguably the oldest city on the planet of Exoros. Quickly they witness one of the reasons why this city is so old and why it has been able to maintain its independence. Eventually, they meet their cantankerous handler Max Mourningbrow. The likes of whom they have never seen. When Max asks them for an adventuring group name for brevity’s sake, the crew comes up with something…interesting.
Having successfully provided security for the cornerstone ceremony, the gang decides to let loose. The next morning we find them dealing with the consequences of more than just a hangover. Having blacked out from her first night of carousing, Aradia wakes up with chicken feet in a ramshackle hut owned by a family of Sams. Proddy wakes up at the feet of a stranger in a strange barn to the sound of someone trying to enter the barn. While a bunny waits on a log for any curious adventuring party to pass by. Never drink and roll on a carousing table!
Katherine, Richard, Justin, and Dave introduce their characters into the world of Exoros. They have been hired by the Venture Ventures Adventuring Agency to provide security for renown Gnome inventor and philanthropist, Felix Tricknips. Everything goes fine of course! Smooth as a low-stakes game of Boogey Booby.
