This episode begins in one large city and ends in another large city over 300 miles away. During their journey from one to the other, the gang deals with some bullies, witnesses some impressive new technology that wasn’t invented by Felix Tricknips, and reads the news reporting on the consequences of their actions, good and bad. We’re going going, back back, to Ynysta Yn…nope that doesn’t work. Sorry Biggie. This is what happens when I write a stream of consciousness synopsis.

Crispy is dead… No it’s okay! He was reincarnated soon after death. Train Rides can be weird, right? In this episode, the gang asks a lot of questions and find out that they may have accidentally stumbled into an annual game played by a cabal of wealthy individuals that together control the entirety of the diamond trade.

To speed up their journey back to the Independent city of Ynysta, the boards the Ynystan Express. The train, however, is of a much higher quality and carrying much fancier people than the BFF’s have seen in the past. They will come to find out that the stories of some of these people doesn’t quite add up. Intrigue, weird food, weird people, and murder await our adventurers. All aboard! Choo choo! Ch…ch…chu…chug…chugg…chugga…chugga…choo choo! *editors note: Pretty good impression, huh?
Following the escape from the flooding underwater lab in the Kraken, the Big Bed Fellows and new friends Euphoria and Gurglenoise spend the night recuperating in a nearby cave. After a good night’s rest, fully half of the group is missing in Orson, Euphoria, and Gurglenoise. In their place is a chest with a note attached from “S.T.” Always curious, Ashwin opens the chest and discovers a barrel of laughs that nearly kills two members of the party. Oh and Sarah Sierra the witch and former member of the Big Bed Fellows, calls Proddy. Enjoy, subscribe, share!
Following the rude interruption of breakfast by the ocean boiling, the Big Bed Fellows head up the cliff-side trail towards the massive tentacle sticking out of the sea towards the last known location of a piece of the artifact known as the Rod of Law. The gang finds themselves inside of the source of the monstrous tentacle joined by a Tiefling named Euphoria and her bodiless Bugbear friend named Gurglenoise. There they find many models of the world, a few prime golems, and some plungers with violent dispositions. Will the gang retrieve the piece of the Rod of Law? Will Gurglenoise get a body? Find out in this episode of Venture Ventures with special guest @JessPak!
After the BBF’s made a choice that instantly collapsed a mountain range on top of their enemies, they were kindly teleported by Felix Tricknips closer to the location of the 3rd part of the Rod of Seven Parts which functions as the heart engine of a slippery Warforged construct name Iris. According to Proddy’s Map Mimic, Iris is in the small coastal hamlet of Felix which is unlike any town they’ve been to as it is populated entirely of golems and constructs. Who or what will they meet? One thing is for sure, they’ll meet a shadow monk named Neema played by our wonderful returning guest Cynthia Marie!
In a tower made of rose crystal levitating high above the Veranol Dominion our adventurers find themselves face-to-face with the prodigious inventor and philanthropist Felix Tricknips. It is time for him to pay up and it is time for them to make a choice that may save or still the hearts of many innocents thousand of feet below.
In this episode, a Nothic passes cryptic secrets and begs for our adventurers to find it’s dearest dolly. Dearest dolly temporarily terrorizes the group before they manage to capture it and return it to the Nothic. Also there are flumphs and by the end they make to the floating tower of Most’es’shar only to be greeted by a famous face.
At a 3-way junction in the tunnels of the mountains that surround the Veranol Dominion, the gang finds out they’re being watched by an otherworldly being. Crispy finds a master of the Kensei arts willing to train him. But before that can happen he must past physical and mental tests that the rest of the group sees fit to wager on.
Another step taken towards their goal after teleporting closer to the floating tower city of Most’es’shar, our adventurers find themselves in immediate combat with some Shardmind guards and some rather nasty magically absorbent koala type creatures called Zorbos. Later, Niolus gets an urgent summons from home that is only used in the most dire of circumstances.
Continuing on to find their way to the Mottled Mere, the group is shown hospitality by half-halflings who also give them an item that will help them on their journey and lead them to the Mere. The Mere turns out to be a massive underground lake with a number of defenses to prevent the wrong people from entering and exiting the planar prison nearby. Can Proddy stop himself from attacking the construct Iris for a third time on the trip? Find out in this horrifically surrealist episode of Venture Ventures!
With the 5 1/2 hour long Beholder written play disrupted by the Shardmind incursion, the Big Bed Fellows retreated to the safety of the construct, Iris’, cellar apartment and said goodbye to Girasol who teleported back to her correct sphere of existence. Now the BBF’s must decide what to do, who to support, and whether Iris the construct is really a living being before Proddy takes matters into his own hands and rips the precious artifact keeping her alive from her chest. Iris is tougher than she seems though and will not go down without a fight.
When last we left our adventurers, a green cloud of spores had enveloped three of the Big Bed Fellows after a Gas Spore exploded on them and now they’re infected with a disease that may kill them. It’s about to get worse however, a fanfare of trumpets announce the arrival of the Stranny Acting Company. This group of Beholders fancy themselves artists in the Shakespearean sense, and for them it’s opening day of their newest play, “The Cockled Boggler.” But before the 5 hour play begins, they treat the crowd to an opening performance by a fire dancing lava-haired bard that one of the BBF’s recognize. Thankfully, the play gets interrupted by disaster. That’s how bad the play is.
After extricating himself from Ashwin’s Bag of Holding, Orson and the rest of the group continued east towards Glodepol. They find an old friend on the road fighting a mighty angry plant that smells mightily. After that close encounter, that could have made one of them brain food, they make it to Glodepol in their search for the lost Alu. They find him alright. And get a little sick because of it.

After their first night spent in the Veranol Dominion, the group is awoken by some explosions and a carnival coming to the deserted town. They meet Izolde, a cursed angel who levies the consequences of the prior day’s actions on two in the group. It’s face-melting! Then they meet an old man and his wife who might have more information on the whereabouts of Alu, the man they had been hired to track down. Yada yada yada, someone jumps in a bag of holding.
Having found who they were looking for in a very oozy state, the BBF’s returned to Serenity Springs only to see a Troll covered in beautiful rose-colored crystals attacking the town. While fighting and defeating the troll they met they final companion, Crispin Oakenshaft, who impressed while taking down the troll. From there the group headed into the hermit dominion of the Veranol which seemed to be perpetually at dusk. There they enter the Tukor Room which requires a performance of sorts to gain entry to the dominion.
With the CovenBeist defeated, the Big Bed Fellows finish searching the rest of the dungeon where they find a peculiar site. Then they return to Venture Ventures where they are escorted to meet the guardians of the city of Ynysta who want to thank them for their work in ridding the city of this previously unknown menace. I’m just gonna come right out and say it, they’re given an home to call their own…a home that comes with Blarney. Subscribe, rate, like, follow, and all the things to help us grow the show!
